Escape Rate
The escape rate is the percentage of groups who successfully solve all puzzles and "escape" a room before time runs out. It's the most common way to communicate a room's difficulty level. A room with a 70% escape rate is considered beginner-friendly, while rooms below 30% are extremely challenging. However, escape rates can vary based on group size, experience level, and how many hints teams use. At Escape Hour, we track escape rates across all our experiences and adjust difficulty dynamically to ensure every group — from first-timers to enthusiasts — has a rewarding experience.
