Glossary Term
Room Reset
A room reset is the process venue staff perform between each group's session to return the escape room to its original starting state. This involves re-locking all locks, repositioning props, resetting electronic puzzles and triggers, replenishing any consumable elements, and ensuring every detail is exactly as the designers intended. A thorough reset is crucial for maintaining the quality and surprise of the experience — if a lock is left open or a clue is in the wrong place, it can spoil the discovery for the next group. At Escape Hour, our reset process is meticulous, ensuring every team walks into a pristine, perfectly staged environment.
